1. Ashvattha Therapeutics
Disease Cell Targeted Precision Medicine

The robustness, dramatic treatment improvements and the scalability of the dendrimer-drug constructs has enabled significant and successful clinical translational efforts of our work, with significant successes for our DDC’s in six phase 1 and two phase 2 trials, also enabled by significant VC funding.
Ashvattha Therapeutics is advancing a new class of clinical-stage nanomedicine therapeutics that traverse tissue barriers to selectively target activated cells in regions of inflammation. Our targeted nanomedicine approach seeks to redefine precision medicine, empowering a new standard of care across ophthalmology, neurology, and inflammation.
These are enabled by multiple Johns Hopkins/Wilmer start-ups.
Ashvattha Therapeutics is the first dendrimer startup cofounded by Drs. Kannan and Sujatha developing DDCs targeted Dendrimer conjugates for inflammatory disorders over the last few years Ashvattha has raised more than 120 million dollars and has conducted 6 phase 1 trials and 2 phase 2 trials , all positive
promising clinical efficacies has been achieved in phase 2 results for the treatment of wet AMD, DME and severe covid
2. Samata Therapeutics

Samata Therapeutics is a second JHU dendrimer startup cofounded by Dr. Kannan, Sujatha and Parikh. Samata is developing DDCs using cannabinoids and psychedelics, for the treatment of epilepsy pain and depression and more.
